Actually Volvo disagrees with you. In late 1984 they issued a service bulletin for all B28F, changing earlier 10W40 oil spec to 10W30. This applied retroactively to earlier PRV's. Heavier oil wasn't flowing properly through constricted oil orifices, leading to "Excessive Camshaft/Rocker Arm Wear" (title of the bulletin). DeLorean owners are well served to study history of our engines beyond the short time frame in which DMC was buying them.
