They will not be made with different material that will with stand the heat. That would take a re design of the switch which would be to costly. That's why if you purchase the switch it will also melt with out the Headlight Fix. John Hervey came up with a fix for this by using a heavy duty relay to bypass the switch. So that when the switch is pressed, it activates the relay and turns the lights on. Not a bad idea and they are cheap too. Most of these problems that are caused by installing brighter halogen bulbs that pull too much juice and burn up the switch and fuse box. ...all that said, thanks to DMCH for making them. - VB >From: Rod Dillman <rhdillman@xxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [DML] Headlight Switch Reproductions >Date: Tue, 7 Sep 2004 14:43:47 -0700 (PDT) > > >After reading James' recent posting about DMC, Humble's plan to offer >owners a chance to pre-order headlight switches as well as a follow up >posting, I talked with Stephen Wynne at DMC.
