Re: [DML] Re: idle problems

David -
I replaced the fuel pump a week after it started acting like this. Tank
components are fine with no water in there. Does it no matter the fuel
level. The frequency valve is buzzing. There is no chance of water in
the plug wells as it has been in the upper 90's for most of the last
month and the car is garaged and I've been through the water in the
plug wells before so that was one of the first things I checked.. Brand
new set of plug wires.

Matt-
Mixture screw is set as correctly as possible using a dwell meter. I
have experienced the mixture being too rich and too lean and this is
not the way it acted. There is no smoke.

John-
First off, you're the best. Thanks for all the phone advice you have
given me.
There was no idle seeking after about a minute of warm up before this
problem popped up. It used to hold real steady. This problem just
started with no warning. I thought that maybe I had some water in the
tank but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I will be happy to check the mixture adjustment again but I find it
hard to believe that parking it for a show and then starting it up 3
hours later would cause it to go out of adjustment. The thing will
barely Idle most of the time and other times its just fine. It started
acting this way right after I bought my benz so I thought that maybe
"she" was trying to spite me LOL. I thought that the problem was just
the fuel pump as it was getting real noisy but I guess that wasn't it.
Thanks to everyone for their input.
