PVC will melt at cooling system temps (up to 260-280 degrees). Plus water pump barbs are larger than 1.25". Plus you'd have to insert springs to keep it from kinking around the bends. Overall it's a bad idea. If you need 1.25" heater hose, NAPA sells commercial grade bulk rolls.
