MANY early VIN cars (maybe even yours, Jake) has a3-4" diameter hole in the underbody just below and the outside vent. Some stories have said this was to relieve pressure or even give easier access to the clamps holding the rear speakers in place. We've started to seal them up on the cars that come in here, more to reduce noise than anything else.
