(Moderator Note: This engine swapping subject has gotten way off topic and has turned into a "modified VS original" type discussion which has been gone over many times before with the only results being the fact different people have different ideas and wants. Unless someone has actual info on engine swaps to add, this thread is closed. Marty, this weeks moderator) You don't seem to remember the car has 1981 technology. Show me a few 1981-1983 cars that can beat anything now days, you wont find many. I guess you should stop comparing the Delorean to cars that were made today because most cars will beat the Delorean today because you are using 1981 technology against 2004 technology. You are comparing Apples to Oranges this way. It is like having a 1978 Corvette with a 350 and having a 2004 Mustang with a 4.6 beat it, you cant compare these two cars because the TECHNOLOGY is different and so are the years.
