The darty, choppy ride is a result of the changing suspension
geometries front and rear.  Don't underestimate the necessity 
of modifying the rest of the suspension to correct the
geometric changes when you lower your car.  It's more than
just a matter of driving comfort - it's a matter of maintaining
control of the vehicle.  This is exactly why many large
insurance companies are dropping coverage on modified import cars.
Their suspension modifications make the car a larger risk because
of loss of control issues.
