Erik, I had a very similar problem once. It was the first warm day of the year and I had my first (and only) ignition problem. Turned out to be the connections at the ballast resistors. Make sure they are clean and seated. After I did that (inconspicuously in the parking lot at work), no problems since --even in the POURING rain!
