The biggest problem here is not replacing the gasket, but, getting the nuts off. Definetly soak for awhile. It is quite possible that you will have trouble with the studs and may have to replace the studs. My studs were quite corroded and I ended up having to take the heads off to get them out because one broke. If this happens you might consider replacing the studs with a bigger stud.
