Hello: I have a problem with my automatic transmission not shifting down when I need to accelerate rapidly. My mechanic has identified the problem to be with the cable that controls the downshift in response to throttle movement. He indicates that my throttle cable does not move freely. Has anyone else experienced and corrected this downshift problem? Is it the cable or something else related to the cable? My mechanic has ordered a replacement cable.
