No one knows about the horrors of sea salt causing corrosion than me.I
grew up on Little Gasparilla Island,I have seen the ravages of airborne
salt up close and personal.I am mechanical and I checked out the car
myself.Yes the price is low enough to make it worth a gamble even if I
have to do serious work later but thanks for your concern.

Nick,
Thanks for the correction... and thanks for the non enlightenment of
your post, I'm sure it was appreciated in some capacity.... and I am
sure you would easily understand the affects of insomnia has on your
posting. Again, does anyone know why it was sold? Where is the DMC
^2? Why has the DeLorean Time website not been updated in a year or
so....? So many questions so little time..

For those interested, a new BTTF die-cast DeLorean with some special
features is headed to stores this Christmas. See our report with pre-
release color photos at:

Buy the correct boots. It's not that much money and not a difficult
job. (But it is admittedly messsy!) The split boots are not worth the
effort, and that implies that you are not cleaning and repacking the
bearings, a bad idea.

I have some very detailed photos of this I will put
them together for you, Just as a note to anyone else,
if you need photos of something just ask me. I can get
my camera (and myself) in some of the most impossible
places plus with my project Im takeing everything
apart so if it's in the DeLorean I'll either have a
pic of it, will have a pic of it or can get a pic of
it for you.

I have to agree with Erik on this one. Just the fact
that this door exists is very awesome. It just goes to
show you that when the workers were building the cars
they were not merly just standing on an assembly line
but they were takeing great pride in there work. If
you look at a door there are so many parts and pieces.
and everything is welded securly or bolted down tight.
I can just get the image that when they discoved the
plant was closeing it must of been just as devestating
to them as it was to the JZD. Because of people like
them at that time and people like us today the dream
will never die. we wont let it.

I only used half a box of cleanex on this topic Erik
let me know if you need the other half.
