You are REALLY pushing the political ban we have here, Bob. You need to read Greenspan's explanation of what he really said instead of how it was skewed. In his own words, no less. I am glad the real world doesn't use your math. Greg _____ From: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bob Brandys Sent: Monday, September 17, 2007 10:17 AM To: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: The Boiling Frog Subject: Re: [DMCForum] The Real Cost of Oil The Iraq war costs $2 billion dollars per week. This is just over $285 million dollar per day. This war is really about oil. (Quote from Alan Greenspan in today's WSJ.) The US imports some 10 million barrels of oil per day. So the cost of this war over oil should be added to each barrel of oil. This calculates to 285/10 = $28.5 additional dollars per barrel. So if oil is $75 per barrel, with the cost of this oil war, we are actually paying over $100 per barrel. So if you need any further justification for electric cars or mile per gallon requirements. This HIDDEN OIL COST needs to be included. Bob [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
