I looked on their site and I can just tell them I'm pulling a Geo Metro or
some other small car and they can't sweat me over that.

I'm gonna stop at the Mazda place at lunch and get some details from them
about towing cars, etc and see what they think.

It all depends on the people at the location you are trying to rent 
from.  Last time I pulled a Porsche 1 place refused to rent me the 
trailer saying it wouldn't fit.  I finally found a place that is run by 
car enthousests and they could care less about what I pull as long and I 
don't use my Porsche to pull.
