Trust me you don't need to take the needle off to change the mileage. 
If you ever seen behind a Delorean speedometer you can see how easy it 
is to change the mileage if you want, i just want it to be easier to 
change out the broken trip reset. I believe most Deloreans with higher 
mileage doesn't have an actual odometer reading anyway because of the 
high failure rate of the angle drives if they were not maintained 
properly.
