Onto my other problem of the day: After several hard-braking episodes in D.C. this morning, my brake warning light came on. While I was glad to see that the warning circuit works after all, I was distressed to feel the pedal go almost to the floor. After letting the car sit for a couple of hours, I went back to the parking garage to take a closer look. I'm not losing any fluid. The firewall is dry, the wheels are dry, the master cylinder was dry. The fluid is a -little- low, consistent with a level that says my pads are almost gone and a larger portion of the fluid is in the lines and not the resevoir, causing the light. This time, I could -not- get the light to come on, and the brakes were back to "normal". Questions: 1. What is "fading" exactly, in referrence to braking? 2. What causes it? Is that what I experienced? Thanks again, Rich Yahoo!
