[DMCForum] Teflon O rings

>>Teflon good up to 450 degress, but not very compressible.
Apparently impervious to anything you throw at it<<

Yes, PTFE and FEP are inert but the durometers they typically come in
are poor for dynamic sealing applications. I wouldn't use them for
for static sealing in this case either.

>>but am hoping diagnosis days are over.<<

Somehow, I kinda doubt that.

>something tells me my last set from plumbing supply house weren't
Viton.<

Gee, ya think? Viton isn't cheap, I have sheets of it that cost
me plenty. Best to skip the plumbing supply houses when buying
critical parts. Fwiw, I skip the vendors also.

>My hard metal fuel lines don't lend themselves well to a pressure
gauge.<

Than change what is needed to port a gage into the control line.
Pressure is the heart and soul of the K-Jet and will tell you more
about whats going on than anything else. If it were my car I'd
permanently engineer a port to do this.

>>Oh, my CPR doesn't have the vacuum nipple you speak of. Is a
stanchion right next to electrical connection just like DeLo, but I
think that's a vent.<<

That *is* the "nipple" I'm speaking of. It's not used on the D but
it's used on lots of other CPRs for acceleration enchichment.

I don't follow your comment about the breather. Since you've
disconnected the vacuum line from the breather to your cold start
tube I have no idea how you're scavenging your crankcase and valve
train. Do you still have the hose from the breather to the air
cleaner? I hope you're not doing it through there, thats not how it's
supposed to work and is bad in many respects.
