In order to weave the driveshaft over to where it is supposed to go, you would definitely need to add at least two joints in the half axles. One joint would not solve the problem. It doesn't really matter, though, becuase there is literally no room to do this. I have both coolant and AC lines running very close on the passenger side, and the exhaust running very close on the driver side.
