[DMCForum] ac mode switch question

Hey lads,
I've decided to fix my a/c blower motor. When it is turned off but
the engine is running, I can hear a hissing sound like a leak coming
from the unit. If I turn it on, the fan will make plenty blowing
noises, and these will vary with changes in fan speed, but absolutely
no air will come out the vents, only it will sort of dribble out at
the bottom of the windshield. It does change temperature from hot to
cold. After reading backissues, it seems to be a bad ac mode switch,
would you agree? Where is the ac mode switch and how do I get at it!?
Are there any other things I should check for?
One other strange thing that happens is that if I have it on fan
speed setting 4, sometimes the motor will vary speed all by itself,
almost like an engine revving up and down, what is making it do
this?????
Thanks!
John.
