Hot wires in the Cooling Fan Circuit ?
Scott's modification of the Cooling Fan wiring was indeed clever and 
insightfull. 
His troubleshooting talent is inspiring.
But, I am uncomfortable with modification of the original system just on 
principal. 
By now, I think everyone knows how I feel about modifications:

How about this scenario.......
Scott sells his in 8 years to buy the "New DeLorean".  
Some purist ( worse than me ) buys his car and decides he would prefer to 
remove the FanZilla ( reasons unknown )  and put in the original Fan Fail 
Module.
The car now has no protection at all in this circuit.
Perhaps this is a stretch, but I think you see where I'm going....


Is it "normal" for your Cooling Fan wiring to get HOT ?
NO.
The "warmish side of hot" perhaps, but not too hot to touch. Too hot to
touch 
is not acceptable.
There's a great deal of current passing through these terminals. If your 
cooling system is working properly, it should be cycling and this duty
cycle 
allows the entire electrical system to cool a bit. 
Let's face it, right now it's real hot outside. 
You're looking at nearly, worst case scenario.

So if the relay terminals are getting way too hot, how do I solve the
problem 
?

These cars are 20 years old. 
Terminals of various descriptions have probably been jockied in and out of

the sockets for quite some time.
Do you know their history ? Probably not.
When the terminals are properly tightened the temperature generated by
loose 
connections can be cut DRASTICALLY.

As for the circuit breaker terminals, the same applies.
If you have loose terminals 
( by loose I mean NOT VERY TIGHT ) 
you will generate heat and alot of it.

If you have an earlier FanZilla and would like to bypass the Cooling Fan 
Breaker it should be done with a 12 Gauge Wire rated UL1015 which is 105 
degrees C.
NOTE:
This is NOT encouraged or required but if properly done would have NO ill 
side effects.
NOTE:
It will have no effect on terminals in the relay sockets that are already 
overheating.
Bypassing this breaker on today's FanZilla would have NO effect.

Should you be very concerned ?
I have had a high quality breaker installed for longer than I can
remember. 
My FanZilla is the prototype circa 1992.
Looks good to me.
No wires getting more than warm.
