two quick thoughts from me --

One of my favorite adhesives is Barge Cement - bonds almost 
anything to anything (altho it will melt polystyrene) and remains 
flexible.  I use it especially for leather - actually my shoemaker 
turned me on to it (hence my pronouncement that "this is why 
shoemakers are always happy - use in well ventilated area or get 
ripped) This is one product where less is better - cement both sides 
and let it get a little tacky before sticking the two sides together. 
Nice thing about it is that you have about 5 min to adjust the fit.

I just learned that JoAnn's has a "40% off single purchase" coupon 
in our Sunday paper and I assume in all newspapers.  They also 
accept the 40% coupon from Michael's.
