Re: [doc] Rich H and Chrispy to the rescue :o)

Hi Dan,

I hear what you say, its just that the banging and flames are abit
annoying (and quite embarrassing at times!) and not what I expected -
plus I hadnt heard of other 'Stage 1' cars doing it. Driving through
Nottingham, hearing very loud 'cracks' from the back of the car and
then having Phill call me and say "do you know there are scarlet
flames shooting out the back of your car?" did not inspire my
confidence in the car....I've had enough problems with her over the
years and that just made me even more nervous about driving it.

The fuel line was a prototype from what I remember, however I was
unaware that they had been superceded - I've got an original back on
my car now, I was just lucky that Chrispy had one handy and Richard
was able to nip off and fetch it and fit it for me.

I remember my exhaust having a bit of putty slapped on it 3yrs ago
when the exhaust first came off to do the manifold studs, so I guess
its lasted pretty well all things considered. It is my intention
though, if funds allow, to have it replaced with a stainless system
later this year.

Hope you had a nice time in Chicago,

regards,

Claire
