Each speaker has two wires going to it - a positive and a ground

In the Craig setup the two rear speakers have their ground connections
joined, and the front pair have their ground connections joined

This gives 6 wires going to the Craig Radio

Modern stereos do not have the speaker ground connections joined
together, so you have eight wires going to the radio

This means you have two options:

1. Run new wires to the speakers - this involves pulling the interior to
bits to make the connections, but if you replacing the speakers you can
do this anyway.

2. Use the existing wires to the speakers, but you will have to break
the connection where the grounds are joined, this is difficult because
the join is behind the AC panel.
