my old one was fine but read upside down. It was from a saab, i don't know because it just had saab written on it.
  The resistance range was between 0 and 100 ohms on the rheostat but i can't remember which way roubnd it is.

dont suddenly go down to reading half full just because I'm 
accelerating or driving up hill.

My main gripe, is because when driving along, it would be nice to 
have an accurate idea of whats in the fuel tank, rather then driving 
along thinking "s**t I need fuel", then "oh no, I'm going up hill, 
now I'm on a flat bit and I'm back up to nearly half a tank."

Any suggestions as to alternatives gratefully received.
