Unsafe yes, but a split rear CV boot they wont. Not trying to beat any "System" Tony, just making people aware that some things are not tested like Reverse lights. An example is that they cannot fail you for having a loud exhaust as long as it's not blowing anywhere !!! Another is the number plates. They cannot fail you for the font you use as long as the front plate has a white background, the rear has a yellow background and you can read the plate. However a Police officer can pull you over and arrest you as you drive out of the MOT after passing the test for having dodgy plates!! I've looked through the MOT testers rule book and there are lots of stupid rules they have to obey but also clearly outlines what they can and cant fail on.
