Hi all have not had time for a couple of weeks but now back on the case!. i have now removed the whole column!, including collapsable part. so i am left with a hollow rod sticking about a foot from the pedal box (lower column?) Now have tried pulling on this by hand, but the splines the other side are a bit rusty, and grip is a bit difficult. so its stuck for now. if i slide the shaft back on, when you tighten the adjust know, does it grip the lower shaft? or what is the best way to remove the lower shaft?. also the bushing, it has a straight hole, but obviously the column is angled. does it just adjust to its own angle? so put shaft through back on straight, then tilt up and fix the two bolts?. thanx for any help any one can give.
