I've got one of DMCH's on Flopsy now - it was a novelty seeing the gauge go up to 'full' after all these years, although I did panic when it suddenly went down to reading half full after only 50 miles. I was reassured its just a 'quirk' with these new senders and it duly stayed on half for the next 120 miles, then it eased down to a quarter and then for the last 30 miles flitted between empty and quarter depending whether I was pointing up or downhill. All I need now is to put a new bulb in my 'panic light' :o) See you all at Eurofest and/or Lotus 06, Claire #2292 'Flopsy' (used for work again today) '68 Rapier (snoozing in the garage) '89 Chavalier (snoozing on the drive) DOC170 --- In doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "essexdick" <tny1964@...> wrote: > > Thanks rich and mike, best i get one ordered, and get told ( slow > down i cant understand you) am i really that bad? yep > probably,,,,thanks again tony > > --- In doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Richard Hutchinson" > <dickyh11@> wrote: > > > > I bought the Houston one for about 50 quid > > > > I'm very happy with it. > > > > It's a bit jumpy between readings due to the way they're made but > you > > soon get used to it, the idiot light gives plenty of 'panic' mileage > > > > The only thing I found was it was difficult to get it to seal > properly > > to the tank, if I overfill it leaks fuel everywhere!! > > > > Rich H > > DOC 365 VIN 1274 DOC UK Website: www.deloreans.co.uk Unsubscribe: doc-uk-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ** Unless otherwise stated, all messages posted to the group are assumed public and may be printed in the club magazine ** Yahoo!
