It doesn't have to be accurate - just needs to tell the system when the car has come to a halt and to keep a motion signal going when you lose GPS - eg going into a tunnel) - it's more precise than the GPS signal. All the Alpine setup does is senst the magnetic field of the front tyre, and the sensor works fine under the carpet in the footwell (on the little sill on the left) Nothing to gain here, just puzzled why you would want ot reinvent the wheel.
