Sounds like a capacitor to me. The claims probably have an element of
truth, but the ability to spot the difference in a blind test will
almost certainly be nonexistent. In short, a waste of money, IMO.

If you want more power, there are a number of ways to go about it, but
magical plug-in devices are just ways of extracting money out of you.
Can anyone remember directional speaker cable?! :-)
