Steve, It's a job you only want to do once. So I would try and get it right. (Don't forget to get the tyre man to use stick-on weights on the inside when re-fitting the tyres) The correct colours are out there. So are quite a few stove enamellers and powder coaters who have done them before. (I've only had one set done and my man said they were the worst wheels he'd had to do). I have seen some really lovely jobs that did not cost a fortune. ( and some crappy one's) I'd be very temped to go back to a place that has a good track record of doing DeLorean wheels. You are in Wolverhampton, yes? Where do folk out that way go? Phil? As it happens, I am just juggling wheels between Gully and Herman. The last owner of Gully had the immaculate dark wheels (correct for an early RHD) re-done in silver, because he thought they looked better! Where as, for some reason, Herman (vin 2631) has a nice set of dark wheels ( and when I look at the date of manufacture, 1980!!) So a swap is in order to get both cars looking right. Just my opinion I know some people don't like the darker wheels. (ie should they have a hi gloss?) has anyone tried to wet spay theirs? (the workshop say wet spray is difficult with these. the powder coat could not be matched exactly hence why i bought the two pack. just wasn't sure of the best way to finish and want them to last the next 25 years!.
