Hi all
Took the d out for a spin today...i took off all the access panels as i thought i might have a fuel leak as i sometimes got a whiff of petrol. After about 20 mins i took a look and everything was bone dry.
I noticed that the low fuel light had come on...i was chuffed as i had never ran it low enough for it to come in b4.
I went to the local garage and put in 35 litres....of the lovely stuff.
I got home and parked in front of my house (Which is on quite a steep hill) i decided to have another check for leaks and when i did i found a steady steam of fuel running out near where the two wires were.
I then quickly parked it on the flat and left it in Nuetral...it continued to ooze out and got worse.

I decided to take of the cap expecting to find a perished rubber boot...i took off the jubillee and found that the boot was in good condition (certaintly around the rim)

But is this right...shoud fuel be covering the pump?
Secondly when i lifted the pump up a bit i could see that the tank was brim full. On my explodaview it says 51.6 lire tank well i defo only put in 35 litres does that mean the light comes on with 15 litres still in the tank?
Please help?
OH and the speedo stopped working today as well!
GUTTED!
Many Thanks
Craig
