As someone who has experienced living in both areas, I can categorically
state that the North's a great place for friendly people, wierd accents
that I can do when drunk, and a total lack of Petrol stations when your
DeLorean is on the light and the pump's whining like an angry bee. The
south's warmer, everything's closer together and DMC Ltd is here :-)
I think Rich J's the best placed to comment on the north-south divide.
