I thought that was the case.
I didn't like to burst his bubble but if he's going to go around telling everyone he sees that it's one of the ones from the films then he should know what he's talking about.
The last time I had an Email from him (assuring me of how genuine the car was) I simply replied and told him that the interior colour of his car wasn't the same as the ones in the films, and also that his rear quarter glass was still in place (which of course it wouldn't have been if the car were genuine).
I haven't heard from him since though.

picked up for fraudulent car sales subsequently. There're computer
components on the car's paraphenalia that weren't around in 1985. Then
again, Chrispy's has a pair of SCART connectors at the front, and they
are a european standard, and don't exist in the US :-)
