Hi Dan,
It is unlikely to be the fuel tank, although the club has them available if
need be.
Firstly remove your spare wheel and the panel below it and you will probably
find fuel stains on top of the fuel tank from where fuel has leaked out from
the fuel boot area. The fuel boot holds the fuel pump in place which sits
down in the fuel tank. Inspect the large hose clip and the rubber cover and
boot for condition.
Depending on what you find from doing the above will aid the next choice of
action. Don't worry, this is quite common as after 23 plus years the rubber
breaks down. I had this issue a year ago and don't expect it again for
another 20 years.

Subject: [doc] HELP!!!
Hi everyone. just been down the local cop shop to see a friend of my
girlfriends and took old plod out for a go in Elly he loved it. Then we went
for a short drive around and about and i thought i could smell petrol.
Anyway we got back home and i could smell petrol even more. I looked under
the car and could see petrol dripping from the right hand side of the petrol
tank. Any suggestions as to whether it is coming from a pipe or the tank
anyone. And if it's the tank, Chris P , have you got one i could puchase.
Cheers Dan 219 4986 Elanor.
