Hey
Talk to Paul O'Malley, he may have one. It took him a while sourcing one for me, he said they are like "hens teeth". Once he got it, it wasnt long before the car was on the road. I dont think the standard De Lorean bell housing fits my gearbox, and that is why we needed this R25 one. There was only a minute difference but I think it was enough to destroy it all if the car tried to drive. But I'm not sure.
Will the stage 2 engine be ready for Eurofest if you are attending? You will have to take me for a spin if it is!
Thanks

Hi Thomas
Well, if you ever bring your car over here, I'd love to thieve your
bellhousing and swap it for a genuine DeLorean/ R30 one. The R25 Turbo
bellhousing is idenitcal apart from the flywheel trigger which I need if
putting a 25 turbo / GTA engine into a D.
We're in the process of doing our first Stage 2 engine right now.
Posrting and polishing sounds great in theory but you're only playing
with the heads and the D has such a long intake tract anyway. We raise
the compresion with different pistons and install high lift cams. Of
course a decent exhaust is a must too. It's not all that simple but
can't give away all the secets :-)

>Yea when Mr O'Malley was doing my gearbox conversion he used a Renault 30 gearbox. The donor car had been in a field for years. He rebuilt the box and put it in my car, and used a clutch and bellhousing from a Renault 25 turbo which does the job nicely. I have never driven another De Lorean but Paul was impressed with the acceleration.
