Hi Alistair,

It is our own fault in N.Ireland for putting up with that convoluted system 
... striking MOTers (last year wasn't it), month-long waiting lists, only 5 
MOT centres around the Province, silly rules, etc. On Mainland-UK it seems 
to be a 'stroll in the Park' to get an MOT if the car is drivable to the 
local MOT garage!

Maybe he used to work at DMC Factory and knows how those early cars came off 
the production line!?!
