RE: [doc] RHD conversion

I looked into this a long time ago.  Most V8's require the cutting/altering
of the frame and the bulk head.  The more serious issue is that when you
have 63% weight at the back of the car it increases even further with a
heavier V8 like a Northstar.

See Martin's email below, that is insane power from a setup that I doubt
weights more than the current setup.  The engine in question is a later
version of the same PRV in your DeLorean which means it drops straight in,
is easy to swap back to stock (why you would want to do that beats me?) and
also it means that servicing is straight forward, plus it does not make the
car so different that it alienates it from the rest of its family...

Regards,

Chris
p.s.  Tracey, I suggest you get a test drive in a Porsche 911 (997) (similar
performance:- 'acceleration 0 - 100 km/h (0 - 62 mph) is brisk at about 5
seconds.'  The new 997 has the same weight distribution as the DeLorean but
weighs more than 100kg extra than our go-kart of a car.  The test drive will
clearly illustrate if all that extra power is attractive to you...

Answer to the last bit - no not at all. And there're actually two people
like that :-)

Answer to the first bits - similar if not better than a Venturi
Atlantique 300 which is almost exactly the same weight, same gearbox and
same sized wheels, slightly less powerful engine (smaller valves). 0-60
in 4.9sec, top speed of 175
