You can get it inspected for $100-$150 dollars -there are a number of
companies that do it and the advertise on all the principal
'autotrader'-type US sites.
I had several examined and avoided some real dogs as a result.

The US also have a system whereby a local franchise garage will do a full
test and fax you the results - the contract is with the buyer, not the
seller.

I suppose it's because of the distances involved that any US buyer is
unlikely to be able to pop across to Michigan to view a car.

  We already have one club member who has lost £500 GBP deposit on a  an

  Why has nobody  in the USA bid on it up to now?   Its very cheap at 7k
  USD if its real.  I think it must be a scam.
