Re: [doc] resistance measurement???

Ceramic resistors on the bulkhead should be 0.6 ohms each, 1.2 ohms combined. Disconnect the wires to them before measuring them.

Don't forget to measure the resistance of the coil in the distributor, these can be heat related. 600 ohms. Connection is orangey plug near bulkhead near diagnostic socket area.
Oh, and the coil primary and secondary windings too.
Primary (outer blade connectors) 2 ohms.
Secondary, one blade connector and central HT lead, 5 k to 8k ohms.

I have seen on occasion the coil suppressor going intermittant. This can be disconnected from the blade connector, it's just there for suppresion.

The figures above are from memory, so I won't be surprised if they are wrong.

hi all

just wondered if someone can check -my car will run for 2 mins then
stalls and won't restart for a hour.

am checking resistors, what should be the ohm reading of each
individual and then both combined.

have checked mine and does not seem to match the shop manual.

is the manual %100 correct??.
