Hi Chrispy
Did you ever look into re making the rear springs? If so did you get a
price?
Thanks Chris H

No Chris,
as they are only ¾ of an inch shorter than the originals, and in 20
years most cars have settled a little, I simply don?t think there is any
demand or need.
Best regards

Yes but the DMCH ones are supposed to be stiffer than stock ones for
better handling. Most rear shocks have adjustable collars anyway for
ride height, the front and back should be 5.5" from the ground to the
frame. To me it proves Lotus made the DMC ride height higher so it could
not handle like an Esprit. In the Service bulletins there is a bulletin
about adjusting the suspension and the ride height need to be at 5.5"
from the ground and it suggests using heaver weights in the luggage
compartment to being the ride height down. Also the control arms and tie
rods are level.
Most of the vendors sell springs in sets of 4. I would be interested if
you decided too look into it anyway
thanks
Chris
List, I have only been asked about rear springs a couple of times, but
if there were sufficient demand (with deposits) I would consider getting
a batch made. . I estimate the cost would be about £80 a pair. Any
takers? Personally I?m not convinced think they are necessary. (B.T.W.
Nick T. I have some s/hand rear springs for you)
On a Similar subject, I am in contact with one of the original
DeLorean suspension designers who has had another look at the car. He
has come up with some custom vastly improved shockers, especially made
for the car, but we again would need to order a largish batch at about
£90 each (fitting all 4 is essential). ?...any possible takers?
I have all 4 shockers and springs on Delores and cannot fault them.
My latest batch of front springs will be ready later this week, still
£60 plus shipping. ( UK only)
Best regards
