I do use mine virtually every day, I did an MPG check today and that
returned 24+ MPG, but that was on a run, I expect the shorter runs of
local driving would probably return a figure nearer 19-20 ish.
One other thing to think about is the insurance cost, most of the
quotes I had for 'classic' insurance did prohibit use for travelling to
and from place of work, so you would probably have to pay a far higher
premium for a non-classic policy (my classic policy is £232 fully comp,
unlimited mileage, but no commuting to place of work).
I do have 2 other cars, one that will replace the D' for a lot of the
daily nipping around to save on fuel costs (1500cc Sera), just waiting
for a new clutch to get her on the road.
