Thanks for the info Martin -
When you say I mustn't leave the crossbrace loose does that mean I
can't drive the car above a certain speed?

Or does it mean I can't drive the car at all until it is fixed?

I don't fancy taking out the spring myself, and my garage is 2km away.
Of course, if this really screws up I guess I'll  have to tow it to
DMC UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
