Re: [doc] re T roof panel adjustment-help!

Steve,

Underneath the T-panel is a piece of foam which holds it up; over the years this can deteriorate and makes the T-panel sink down a bit. One option is to buy a new piece of  original foam but here's a possible fix:

1. Remove T-panel (it just unscrews)

2. Spray some expanding foam (eg "No more gaps") onto the fibreglass underbody

3. Put the T-panel back on.

4. Lay some lengths of wood right across the T-panel and tops of the doors. Add some weights on top of the wood. (Use rags to avoid damaging bodywork!!)

4. When the expanding foam dries, it will hold the panel up at the right height.

It is also easy to remove the expanding foam at a later date. Hope this helps.
