[doc] COTC - Barbeques update!

Dear All,

            

I've just had the following in an email from one of the organisers of
Classics on the Common - 

 

"On barbeques all I can say is that the Council asked us to point out that
they are not allowed. They do not expect us to enforce that rule and to the
best of my knowledge they have no intention of putting out anyone's barbeque
or even getting cross with them. I'm sure that they would be pleased if
anyone were to use a barbeque that they raise it off the Common!"

 

So, I think if we do take a couple of barbecues, can we make sure we've got
some bricks or something to ensure that they don't come in contact with and
therefore damage the common.

 

He also said that whilst they can't actually reserve us a 'club area', if we
all turn up together we can be parked up together.
