Are you sure you were talking to their classic car department?
That Aon Select sounds like a specialist everyday insurance.

ok just called aon.. I have to call back on monday now between 9 and 5
to talk to "aon select" about "insuring an imported car even if it is
currently on uk plates and uk spec".. nice one

now to play the waiting game.. the car feels that little tiny bit closer
today.
