As did mine! Oh well, as you say, one of those things!

FWIW our alternators are not strictly aftermarket replacements as they
are actually off a car with the same engine, same mounts and same plug
(as the ducey). They're just considerably bigger and rated at 110A.
Certainly it didn't complain at all the electrical systems in my car
being switched on at once. Or as near to at once as is feasible!

No - I bought one from Wingray when my car first arrived in 2001 - it
was of the green mesh variety. It soon got blocked from the dust in my
new tank. I used an in-line one for ages which worked well but was too
small and then got hold of a new oem one and pickup hose both of which
I'm happy with.

Well it's on the bonk to the right.... a bit. Bit it's miles from the
centre front-to-back.

Er.... yes. You'll just have fun when to point downhill you have to
drive uphill and turn around :-P

The material new DMCH ones are made from doesn't go dquishy.

It's that ? shape so you can remove the pump - it'd be impossible with a
strait one.
