Yes, Switzerland is not part of the EEC. There is an £18 threshold on goods,
if its over then you get charged duty (the rate depends on what the item is)
then VAT plus any fees the courier slaps on. From memory Royal mail charges
£4 for small packets for presenting the parcel to customs and paying the fee
on your behalf.
