Is it true that the Starion was an American design and was originally
going to be called by the designer "Stallion", but the Japanese
executive at Mitsubishi couldn't pronounce Stallion and it was
misinterpreted as Starion? - True or urban myth?

Subject: [doc] "Top Gear" mention
I see that Jezza immediately recognised the similarity between the rear
louvres of a Mitsubishi Colt Starion and our much beloved DeLorean on
this evenings episode of "Top Gear".
Suggesting that DeLoreans were held together with Gaffa tape in the same
way that this particular Mitsubishi had been, was a little unfair.
Never mind though. Someone once said that all publicity is good
publicity.
