Actually the DeLorean's louvers are taken from the Esprit, but clearly 
the D's left an impression

That's not actually what they said. JC's louvers were held on with gaffa 
tape and he was asked if "deloreans were also held on with gaffa tape" 
with the clear inference that of course they're not.

Well that's what I thought :-)
