Hi Mike,
I'm lucky in London to have a garage, but it's not that big and I use it, in
the end, as an extension of the house. I obtained insurance without much
problem on my D despite indicating it would be parked on the road. You just
need to select your broker. I have a car cover which saves oceans of
cleaning, but I envy those owners with a garage - it is a luxury.
During the winter, I keep mine in commercial heated storage in which they
run them once a week. It's ?100 a month, but massively less than the cost
of a garage. A lock-up is selling 'round the corner from me for ?35,000
(leasehold). For a bloody garage!!
Don't know if this helps.
All the best in your purchase
Colm

Subject: [doc] In or Out?
Hi all,
I'm currently looking to move house. I'm at the stage of viewing
potential
properties and I got to thinking - this (hopefully) could well be the
place
I'll be in when I look into getting my dream car (I'll give you three
guesses). Anyway, to all you lucky owners out there, how important is a
garage in DeLorean ownership? Are there any unusual space requirements
(extra height or width to open the doors inside, for example)? If it
can't
be garaged, what problems might I expect? What would it do to the
insurance? I'm thinking years into the future here, but your expert
thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
Mike
