I agree.
I also tap the bolt heads gently with a hammer to shock the threads.
My engine came apart OK, even the dreaded Y pipe bolts.
I also re-tap the holes and re-die the bolts to clean the threads before
reassembly.

Another tip is to replace any and all rubber O-rings and seals
don't reuse any if you can avoid it.
When you put the bolts back use a little copper slip grease
on them.
